Icona Pop - I Love It

During second last weekend in August (24-25th of August) joined The music festival Popaganda at Eriksdalsbadet there all 20 acts Performed.

A festival that I have attended in the past 5 years, or is it 6, anyway, different roles there have been, this time, I was responsible of the main stage, with a great mix of artists would participate, I thought to share some of them over the next coming days.

What I love about this festival is that the smaller acts are lifted up and given space to share their creative ideas in terms of music. Sure, there is added to some gunpowder to arrange good headliners, but I like the basic concept.

First out in this Popaganda Special here at Tune Of The Day is the Swedish DJ and electropop duo "Icona Pop" The duo, established in 2010, is made up of Aino Jawo and Caroline Hjelt.

Aino Jawo was born on 7 July 1986 and Caroline Elizabeth Hjelt on 8 November 1987. For some time, the duo was based in London, where they attracted international attention, including the debut single "Manners" on French Kitsuné Music, and "Nights Like This" on British Mercury Records. Other songs included "Lovers to Friends," "Sun Goes Down" and "I Love It".

In 2011, they were featured on "Mind Your Manners", a song by American indie hip hop duo Chiddy Bang, features Icona Pop. The song also appeared as a track on American series Now That's What I Call Music! 39.

In the summer of 2012 they took part in a number of festivals including electro music festival Summerburst in Gothenburg and also appeared at the Stockholm Stadium, at the start of a major international festival and broadcast via Sveriges Television (SVT). They are releasing their debut album in autumn 2012. "I Love It", a pre-release of their coming album has already charted on Sverigetopplistan, the official Swedish Singles Chart.

Icona Pop who have gone like a steamroller with their summer hit "I Love It" their electro dunk and fuck you-statement that can get any pop/dance fellow anywhere to dance as insane at sunset.

Icona Pop Popagandas played on the main stage on Saturday and got an incredible move, very catchy, but far too early, had actually preferred this act later, like the second last or something.

deadmau5 - Rope

Saturday, more rain and cold, really feels like late autumn when the temperature was down to +5

This day I thought deep down inside that now they would all stay at home and I will dance all by myself on the south stadium (Söderstadion), but I was so wrong. Just before the opening was there a long queue at the entrance and wOops, it was loads of people inside, all who wanted witness the Canadian mouse live.

Hours before deadmau5 should get on, stood his technicians and performed an operation on one of his heads, was actually quite fun to witness as they served up an operating table to a surgical intervention to repair the broken circuits that existed inside the skull. See the picture when Joel test that everything works as it should.

Joel Thomas Zimmerman (born January 5, 1981), better known by his stage name deadmau5 (pronounced "dead mouse"), is a Canadian progressive house and electro house producer based in Toronto.

He is known for often performing in a titular costume head, which resembles a mouse head that he originally created while learning to use a 3D program. The costume mouse head Zimmerman wears at concerts, called the "mau5head" appears in many different colors and designs, and has been shown on the cover of most of Zimmerman's albums, with the exceptions of At Play and Vexillology.

A few words about Deadmau5, from Özgür Kurtoglu

"As the man with the heavy helmet wobble around, waving inside out with his arms on the hard pumping he turns up while his little home on the stage is transformed into a Swiss cheese invaded by small red deadmau5-lemmings, there is typically how quickly and efficiently he gets hot in the clothes and how quickly it rubs off on the audience. "

Here are some pictures..

Avicii vs Eric Turner - Dancing In My Head (Been Cursed Mix)

Avicii was at the Globe in Stockholm, Sweden for 3 days its a big arena and he filled it up all 3 days. on the second day a accident happen, some of the people fell, when a floor broked down, all of em are okey at this time, but it was kinda hectic when we arrived to the Globe. The day after he filled it again, and the building was jumping :D

This is my pictures of it.

Avicii is Tim Berglin, known professionally as Ashwin, Tom Hangs, and Tim Berg, is a Swedish DJ, remixer, and record producer.

What Avicii wants is to create music for people to listen to and come to love, whether it be at home or in a dark nightclub. Avicii puts great emphasis on melodies in his productions and wants to appeal to fans of many different house music genres. Avicii signed on to At Night Management in May 2008 and within a month the buzz around them spread noticeably and they were recognized on labels such as Joia Records, Vicious Grooves and Ministry of Sound, just to name a few. By the end of that month, Avicii had already signed a big deal with Vicious Grooves in Australia and were head on target to soon explode over the entire globe.

This is a picture I took from his homesite.

And i can say that he is exploding as we write this.
