Mirror - Black Magic Tower

MIRROR is the musical brainchild of bassist and die-hard metal connoisseur Tas Danazoglou (ELECTRIC WIZARD, SATAN's WRATH).

The wild, hard-rocking heavy metal of the ‘70s and early ‘80s has been enjoying a resurgence of sorts in recent years as more and more bands yearn for musical days long gone. Most of that revival focuses on the more mystical side of that coin, with occult rock, love letters to BLUE ÖYSTER CULT and the ethereal leads of PAGAN ALTAR enjoying some success. There are some sparkling from the mighty ‘70s and particularly groups like SCORPIONS, RAINBOW and DEEP PURPLE.

This Cyprus-based metal warrior MIRROR released its second album "Pyramid Of Terror" in June 28, 2019 on Bad Omen Records. The album is great, it’s not perfect, but enough fun during the time it gets loose for a spin. Utterly devoid of irony or nostalgia, "Pyramid Of Terror" is no less than a transmission straight from the heavy metal motherlode, and a glorious testimony to a spirit that will doubtless outlive us all.

MIRROR are:

Jimmy Mavromatis - Vocals

Tas Danazoglou - Bass (ELECTRIC WIZARD, SATAN's WRATH)

Constantinos C.Blynd - Guitar (BLYND)

Nikolas Sprits Moutafis - Guitar (SOLITARY SABRED, HARDRAW, ORGASMATRONS)

Danny Koullis Georgiou Conway - Drums (WINTER'S VERGE, STAINLESZ)

Today's tune "Black Magic Tower" is taken from the album "Pyramid Of Terror", enjoy!

Arcadian Child - She's On My Mind

Saturday, out doing some work, as usual, heavy bass tones from some hip-hopper I do not know off, champagne and expensive vodka are the drinks that will be served during this event, not really my cup of tea, be hey it's work.

I will probably dream away and long for some laidback music to compensate. So today we throw in a Cyprus pop rock band with some catchy lyrics.

Today's tune "She's On My Mind" taken from the album "Afterglow". Video created by Iam Nothe https://www.facebook.com/IamNotheDesign. Contains scenes from "A Carnival Of Souls" a Herk Harvey film (1962) starring Candace Hilligoss. Enjoy

Arcadian Child - Painting

Wednesday, the first working day for this year is done, felt a little bit heavy after the chill over Christmas, but it went smoothly as a freshly brewed cup of coffee. I guess the routine is deeply in the bones.

Some easy, laidback music is welcome a day like this, got to think about the Limassol based ARCADIAN CHILD, the Cyprus band deliver erratic guitar-orientated psychedelia melded with ambience, hallucinogenic patterns and cathartic outbursts. With sounds rivalling the squealing sirens of the Mediterranean up to the dark bellows of the West.

Panagiotis, Andreas, Stathis and Christos

Today's tune "Painting" is a half-paced beauty, melodic with poppier elements runs smoothly thru the speakers. "Painting" is taken from the sophomore studio set "Superfonica" and represents a spiritual portraiture of human interaction and conflict. "Superfonica" was released via Ripple Music and Rogue Wave Records on 23 November, 2018. The Artwork on the album is made by Iam Nothe. Enjoy!
