Korn - 'Oildale (Leave Me Alone)

Korn or KoЯn is an American rock band formed in Bakersfield, California, in 1993. The current band line up includes four members: Jonathan Davis, James "Munky" Shaffer, Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu, and Ray Luzier.

Korn III: Remember Who You Are is the ninth studio album by American nu metal band Korn, released on July 13, 2010. The band hired Ross Robinson, who produced their first two albums to again act as producer, and drummer Ray Luzier to act as permanent drummer, instead of a live fill-in as he had been previously. The album was recorded as a four-piece band, using no Pro Tools or editing, unlike Korn's more recent albums. Vocalist Jonathan Davis says the album is "simple" in that it is not as multi-layered as Korn's other recent albums, but "it's about the vibe".

Todays tune "Oildale (Leave Me Alone)" is the first single from the new studio album, Korn III – Remember Who You Are. The song title is a reference to Oildale, California, just north of Bakersfield. Though the songs lyrical content has no connection with the town, it is a return to frontman Jonathan Davis's troubled past, with the main chorus "why don't you just leave me alone/my heart's gonna break from the fall/holding onto petty things/feeling all the hate it brings/why don't you just leave me alone!". Enjoy!
