Interpol - Lights

Interpol is an American rock band formed in 1997 in New York City. The band's original line-up consisted of Paul Banks (vocals, guitar), Daniel Kessler (guitar, vocals), Carlos Dengler (bass guitar, keyboards) and Greg Drudy (drums, percussion). Drudy left the band in 2000 and was replaced by Sam Fogarino. In 2010, shortly after recording finished for the band's fourth album, Dengler left to pursue personal projects. While the band is officially now a trio, they have recruited David Pajo as their new bassist and Brandon Curtis as their new keyboardist and backing vocalist for their current tour.

Interpol is the self-titled fourth studio album by the American band Interpol to be released on September 7, 2010 on their initial label Matador Records. It was recorded at Electric Lady Studios in Greenwich Village. Details of the records surfaced in early June through the band's official website.

Todays tune "Lights" was released for free download through the site, originally on May 2010 with an accompanying video released in June 2010 by Charlie Weiss, who earlier directed the music video for Evil. This album will be the band's last effort with original bassist Carlos Dengler as he left shortly after the album's completion.
