Them Crooked Vultures - New Fang

Them Crooked Vultures (abbreviated as TCV) is a rock music supergroup that formed in Los Angeles, California in 2009. Comprising drummer Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters, Nirvana), vocalist and guitarist Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age, Kyuss) and bassist and keyboardist John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin), the band also features Alain Johannes (Eleven, Queens of the Stone Age) as a live rhythm guitarist. The band's debut album, Them Crooked Vultures, is due for release in November 2009.

TCV released thier new album on youtube, so check this up, easiest way to access it is thru their website. Several of the so called "supergroups" are most of the time crapish, not so good as expected. But what about Them Crooked Vultures?, well the term "supergroup" suits half the way here, as Josh Homme and Dave Grohl are best buddies and have been that for years. The only one who is the outsider here is John Paul Jones witch gives the extra touch to this line-up. This is very good, a great fusion of musicans. They have so much experience and skills within each other to create wonderful music.

You can hear influences from everywhere witch gives this group a nice mix of heavy rockin riffs, great melodies and Josh sining. I must say that i really like this, its a like a fluffy cake in my ears, would be very nice to catch these guys live.
I found many good rocking tunes on this album. Favorites are "Gunman", "New Fang" & "Scumbag Blues"

Todays tune "New Fang". It was released as the first single from the band's upcoming self-titled debut album, today with 2 version of this tune, first one is the studio, with out a video and the second is live :) Enjoy!

Josh Homme - guitar, vox
