Tramp - It's Automatic

Tramp is a Swedish rock band from Stockholm. The band consists of the singer Markus Karlsson, guitarist Stefan Brändström, drums Robert Eriksson and Johannes Borgström on bass.

The overall merit accommodate participation in bands such as Hellacopters, Henry Fiat's Open Sore, Turpentines, Captain Murphy and Sewergrooves. And now, after three years of secrecy and with a slightly dazed countenance they make an entrance with their cocky debut album Indigo under their arm. Indigo is released in Scandinavia April 1:st and in the rest of Europe and the USA in May 2:nd. Musically Tramp weave together decades of musical heritage. The melodies and harmonies echoing of the 60's, the attack in the performance has more of a 70's touch, and some big gestures could be from the 80's. Furthermore, they dig into their own story and weave everything together into something that lives and breathes in its own time. It sounds British in head-on collision with the U.S. - a healthy cocktail of late '60s psychedelia and garage rock. Like New York punk rockers on a Magical Mystery Tour. Or The Damned spitting out Beach Boys songs. And sometimes as The Who in their best pop costume.

A few days ago they had their release party at Debaser Slussen together with Märvel and the label Killer Cobra Records. They did a marvelous performance, like if you translate Tramp to slut, then it will describe them pretty good. On a positive manner. For the live show it was like a gang of real pop sluts, with melodies and choruses that kicked some ass in there, a really fun night.

Here is some pictures from the gig.

Todays tune ”It's Automatic” is the first single from Tramp's debut album Indigo, enjoy!.

The new record is also released on vinyl, The regular version is sold as a 4x7" vinyl set in handstamped paperbags. There is also a limited mailorder edition in a screen printed and hand numbered box that will also include a centerhole adapter. Kinda cool.

Massive Dynamics - Never Feel Again

Massive Dynamics is a 4-piece rock band from Gothenburg, founded 2010 by the singer Fred.
Fred explains that the idea of starting a vintage rock band had circled around in his mind for a long time, so after finding the perfect band members they could go right into the studio and start recording the material. The band are now writing everything together, a four-track EP has been released already and another is under way, they also aim to release their full length album in summer 2011.

The band members are:

Fred: Vox, Guitar
John: Guitar, Background Vox
Hannes: Bass, Background Vox
Niels: Drums and Percussion

The first EP ”The Stand", I do have in my possession and it has a really nice groove. This EP, is a delightful journey among different styles such as groovy grunge mixed with classic rock, melodies that you´re tapping your feets to. It is well-played music, and Fred has a great vocal range and sings very well. I do recommend this one, you can buy the EP here.

Today’s tune "Never Feel Again” is from the upcoming EP and probably the upcoming full-length album. Fred did this video merely on my request so, thanks Woodie.

Never feel again

On Woodsman Fred blog you can follow Fred's personal life in the woods mixed with his tough rock-star life. It is very entertaining reading.

Black Sabbath - Hole In The Sky

Heya Gurl´s and Guy´s I got a challange from Stones some time ago...
That he got from another blog guy....etc

This is the thing:
If you were locked up in solitary confinement only equipped with a stereo and one is allowed to take 5 records in there, what records would you choose?

This is damn hard...at the moment I havent got a clue..
Hm..Lemme think....hm....ehh....It must be something I can listen to over and over again and still love...
Alter Bridge is one of those band for me..I´ll take that as my first then :)

#1 Alter Bridge, AB II

#2 Joe Bonamassa, The Ballad of John Henry

#3 Black Country Communion, 2

#4 Black Sabbath, Sabotage

#5 Meshuggah, obZen

A bit of all kinda yummies that I like :) There is no #1 is best and so forth just 5 albums than I´ll spend some time with, cos they are great :)

With all these I can be in any mood I want, and feel good :p

As I took most of em on Tune Of The Day
Ill choose one from the Sabbath album.
This album came out 1975 I bought it with my own money and play´d it every day :)

Sabbath made me a hard rocker, still going on and on :)

Okey lets enjoy this wonderful piece of hard rock!

Cheers, Thetania

Dean Allen Foyd - Steady Rollin´ Man

Many great bands that are friends of mine are playing in Stockholm this week.
Today its Tramp and Märvel, Stones is on his way to that gig.
Tomorrow its Hong Faux At "Lilla Hotellbaren" at Malmen.
Then on Thursday its this band Dean Allen Foyd that plays at the same place.

This is a blues/Psychedelic band with influences from the 60´s and the 70´s.

The band has emerged from the decadent scene in Stockholm, Sweden. their Influence by a colorful spectrum of different artists such as Captain Beefheart & his magic band, Hendrix, Hawkwind and many more space voyagers. With a blend of Dean..s "DELTA" magic, they have set out to combine old rythm and blues, soul, jazz with psychedelic sounds that will twist inside the mind of the listener. Now Dean Allen Foyd has retired to a unknown destination where from time to time he will send his Gimmick..s finished music, allowing them full freedom to enterpret his songs in their best efforts...

On March the 17th they write this on Facebook:
"All the vocal parts done for the album!!! now it's just some hammonds left, theramins and minimoog sounds.... It sounds great!!! soon to be out.
Stay tuned. Oh by the way this production's been done on two inch tape,Pink floyd's old Mixing table the same table Joy Division recorded Control, just a little piece of music history!!!"

The members are as following:
Francis Rencoret-Guitar/Vocals/Theramins
Fredrik Cronsten-Bass
King Alex-Guitar
Wille Alin-Drums/Hammond Organ/Vocals

Enjoy folks!

Here is Dean Allen Foyd!
