Nocturnalia - Lady Of The Woods

Above Below Within is the second full length album by Swedish psychedelic rock quintett Nocturnalia (formely known as Nocturnal). It's a seven track opus with a more cultivated sound than it's predecessor but with the same underlying philosophical concept which has always been the foundation of their creative process. The album was recorded and mixed by the bands newly added guitarist Linus Lundgren at studio Ganymeden in Linköping during the summer of 2014. Unlike the last recording they also decided to produce the album by themselves, leaving a more personal mark on the final outcome.

The idea behind the album was to collaborate with different kinds of artists and thus putting further emphasis on the artistic expression. Creative director Mattias Ekeblad, painter Zlatan Dukic, classical pianist Elena Zorina among others have contributed in developing a more refined visual and musical concept.

Today's tune "Lady Of The Woods" is the first single from the upcoming Nocturnalia album Above Below Within to be released by Gaphals 2015.

Night - Out Of The Ashes

The Swedish heavy metal act "Night" have released a new video from the Night´s self titled debut album released on Gaphals.

The video is a pretty cool one that add's a bit from the comicbooks world in to it. The video is directed by: Gustav Skogens VFX by: Patrik Ljungqvist and produced by: Bold As Löve Productions, enjoy!

Night - Gunpowder Treason

Night is a swedish classic heavy metal band that heads out from the town of Linköping. With shows all over sweden, including playing at the legendary festival Muskelrock, Night can proudly entitle them selves as one of Linköpings, most up and coming bands!

Skraeckoedlan - Äppelträdet

 

Skraeckoedlan is a fuzzrock quartet from Norrköping, Sweden. They formed in the early spring of 2009 with the ambition to play groovy rock'n'roll with a touch of doom.

Their debut album; a ten track album called "Äppelträdet" (The Apple Tree) was released in 2011 on the Swedish record label Transubstans Records.

This is a straight stoner rock spiced with classic hard rock riffs. As a new stung lizard, growling guitars takes this record forward towards the apple tree. With a straightforward vocals on Swedish that ties it all together in a brilliant way. That you will think of Truckfighters when you hear this is not surprising given that the producer is none other Oskar Cedermalm from Truckfighters.

A really good debut, I must say, an album that I have nothing more than to recommend to all Stoner freaks out there.
