Eldkvarn - Somliga Går I Trasiga Skor

Sunday, classic time, if you look quickly at the lineup on Bråvalla festival is there unfortunately not many classic bands, find a few, of which the Swedish rock band Eldkvarn can be counted as one of them.

Eldkvarn is a Swedish rock band formed in Norrköping in 1971, consisting of brothers Plura Jonsson (the main songwriter, singer and rhythm guitarist of the band) and Carl Jonsson (lead guitarist who also writes songs and sings). The third original member is the bass player Tony Thorén, who has produced a number of albums by Eldkvarn, as well as other artists. The band is very active and widely regarded as one of the best rock bands in Sweden, with a following in other Nordic countries as well.

Eldkvarn have had some ups and downs in their career, highlights being the beginning of the 1980s, then the late 1980s with "Himmelska Dagar" and "Kungarna från Broadway", and - maybe above all - the period from "Limbo" (1999) to this day. The last period is by many Swedish music critics considered to be the best in the band's career.

In all, the band have made more than 20 full length LP and CDs.

The group received a commercial success with his interpretation of Cornelis Vreeswijk "Somliga går med trasiga skor", which is also todays tune. The tune is taken from the album "Den flygande holländaren", a music album released in 1988, where Swedish artists perform songs written by Cornelis Vreeswijk. Today's video is filmed in the subway. Anyone traveling with SL instead of taking the car makes a small contribution to the environment. As a thank you offered SL its travelers on a surprise concert by Eldkvarn.

Here are some pictures from the rehearsals.

So today we pick a tune from one of the artists and i choose the one preformed by Petra Marklund who often known simply as September, she is a Swedish singer and songwriter. When September was younger, she started recording in professional studios around the age of twelve, and when she was in a rock band, she received a record deal. She first came to the music scene with her debut single "La La La (Never Give It Up)" in mid 2003, which was released from her first studio album September (2004). In 2004, she released her single "Satellites", and received many accolades for the single.

September then released her single "Cry for You", which came from her second studio album In Orbit (2005), which "Satellites" was featured on. The song became a huge hit worldwide, charting in countries including Australia, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Japan, Canada and the United States. The song remains her biggest single to date. She then released her studio album Dancing Shoes (2007), which also feature big hits including "Can't Get Over". The album subsequently won a Grammis for Best Dance Album. Her first ever Swedish recording was the single "Mikrofonkåt" became a huge success in her native Sweden, peaking at one and was certified 8x Platinum in that country. The song was also nominated for a Swedish Grammis award for Song of the Year. With many studio albums recorded, her fourth studio album, Love CPR, is her most successful album, entering straight at number one on the Swedish Albums Chart, being certified 2X Platinum and stayed in the charts for forty-one weeks. Her fifth studio album, Inferno was released on October 17, 2012 and reached number 1 in Sweden, along with the lead single "Händerna Mot Himlen".

Todays tune "Händerna Mot Himlen" was performed live at Idrottsgalan, the tune is taken from the latest "Swedish" album "Inferno", was released 2012. First clip is the Official Video, 2nd is a clip from yesterday (yes it will include the fly to the roof part, so check it up), enjoy!
