Today we present last one, Category Seven:
(Hefty)
taken from the annual hard rock evening.
Well this was a tricky one, should the tune go with the bombastic theme, atmospheric, horns, symphony, orchestra or what? Well if more straight forward style goes hefty then you dont have to much to choose from. "Hrimthursum" is a pretty hefty album by the Swedish blackened death metal band NECROPHOBIC. So why not pick a tune with them and stick out a little bit. So my choice ended with the single from the album "Blinded By Light, Enlightened By Darkness", check out the video below.
Other tunes that was played during this category was.
DIMMU BORGIR "The Serpentine Offering Live" - Chief Rebel (Really Powerful That Have It All)
SOILWORK "Spectrum Of Eternity" - Holm (Great Pick From One of Swedish Finest)
BATUSHKA "Yekteniya I" - PÖbrink (Excellent Choise Of A Powerful Tune)
MARILYN MANASON "Antichrist Superstar" - Hellan (Great Tune From A Classic Manson Album)
KHEMMIS "Candlelight" - MÖbrink (A Real Heavy Pick)
TREMONTI "Radical Change" - Eriksdotter (Odd Choice But A Good Choise)
IN FLAMES "Down In A Hole" - Sandström (Cool And Odd Choice)
PANTERA "Drag The Water" - Sköldan (Great Classic Choice)
IN FLAMES "Only For The Weak" - Jens (Another More Typical Jens Tune)
NECROPHOBIC "Blinded By Light, Enlightened By Darkness" - Stones
(Missing songs from two participants).
Today's tune "Blinded by Light, Enlightened by Darkness", taken from "Hrimthursum", the fifth full-length album by Swedish blackened death metal band NECROPHOBIC. It was released on Regain Records in 2006.
