Today is my youngest daughters birthday and as tradition I ask the kids what they like the most for now. I give them a chance to chose a tune or a video that they like to see or listen to. My daughter chooses "Stay Together" by the American actress and singer Noah Cyrus. It was released on April 14, 2017, as the second single from her debut studio album, NC-17 (2017). The song was written by Cyrus, Emily Warren, and Britt Burton, with production being handled by Digital Farm Animals and Hudson Mohawke.
Noah Lindsey Cyrus (born January 8, 2000) is an American actress and singer. She voiced the title role in the English version of the 2009 animated feature film Ponyo. In 2016, she released her debut single "Make Me (Cry)", featuring vocals from Labrinth. Her debut album is set to be released in late 2017. She is the youngest daughter of Tish Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus and the younger sister of Miley Cyrus and Trace Cyrus.
Idolator's Mike Wass called it "rowdy, relatable and very catchy" as well as a "raucous, rebellious anthem with a massive sing-along chorus" and a "perfect snapshot of teen restlessness and carpe-diem spirit." Tom Breihan of Stereogum compared "Stay Together" to the works of Miley Cyrus and dubbed it Noah's "own attempt at a no-fucks anthem." Entertainment Weekly's Nolan Feeney labeled it a "laid-back, slightly melancholy YOLO anthem." Gabe Bergado of Teen Vogue said "it's totally a song that you'd listen to while dealing with all the feelings after a breakup."
So here it is, happy birthday kiddo! Love you, enjoy the tune!
