Black Label Society - Overlord

Black Label Society is a heavy metal band formed by Zakk Wylde, with eight studio albums, one live album, two compilation albums and one EP released since formation of the band.

Yesterday Black Label Society did a visit here in Stockholm for a gig in a basically sold out the Arenan. It was a heavy night with many vest-clad visitors from different parts of our long country, BLS symbols appeared almost everywhere. That Zakk & Co. has built a large fan base is obvious. BLS kicks in the show with a bang, songs such as Crazy Horse, Overload, Parade Of The Dead, Hell Ride and others were played, see the setlist. The sound quality was so-so, sounded almost better on stage than off. Beautiful In This River was played on the piano to a fine singing. Inflatable BLS (beach balls) were thrown out that disappeared very quickly:) The concert ended with Stillborn. Final rate: good show, good move, good setlist cant just wait until next time.

Duff McKagan's Loaded - Flatline

A new band was announced to Sweden Rock 2011, Duff McKagan's Loaded!

For u guys that never been there, its in south of Sweden,
in a town called Sölvesborg.
In the middle of nowere, close to a beach and its lovely!

Duff McKagan, of course, forever known as the bassist in Guns N 'Roses classic
set, and also in Velvet Revolver. But since 2008, including his own project Loaded showed off significantly. In this group, the first edition was formed in 1999, Duff doing the vocals and rhythm guitar.



The sound is raw, electric rock with strong punk influences, and the band themselves mention the Rolling Stones, Thin Lizzy and Black Flag among his role models.
Loaded has so far released three full length albums, most recently "The Taking" released in April. However they are first and foremost a live band, and their Sweden Roch Festival debut is the more eagerly awaited as this is the first time that Duff is visiting it for the first time!

Mustasch - Angels Share

Mustasch is a Swedish rock, metalband that plays a simple, straight forward rock without compromise.

This year Mustasch celebrates 10 years as a band, it is done with a compilation CD with new recordings of their main tracks and one new song "Angels Share ". On top of this, the band will embark on a tour and tonight they play at Circus here in Stockholm, together with Bullet and Electric Boys.

It’s an impressive CV the band has achieved: Six albums, a huge hit with "Double Nature", sold-out tours of Scandinavia, opening- and headline tours with Motörhead, Gluecifer and Volbeat in Europe, four Swedish Grammy Nominations whereof two Grammy Awards for "Best Metal Album" (Latest Version Of The Truth 2007 and Mustasch 2009) and the latest "The New Sound Of The True Best” that was released on February 28th.

The National - Bloodbuzz Ohio

Today is The National playing at Circus and at the same time is Skunk Anansie playing at Berns. The National is a band that I saw playing last summer in Gothenburg at the Way Out West festival, a band that I can not say immediately hooked me as it was a bit much of the leisurely part.

But i gave it a chance the other day and yes, it is soft, but beautiful, can be a good band to choose if you want to relax a bit. I do like the vocal, the baritone style :)

The National is an indie rock band formed in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1999 and is currently based in Brooklyn, New York. The band's lyrics are written and sung by Matt Berninger, a baritone. The rest of the band is composed of two pairs of brothers: Aaron and Bryce Dessner and Scott and Bryan Devendorf. Padma Newsome, from sister band Clogs, often contributes strings, keyboards, and other arrangements and instrumental flourishes.

Todays tune "Bloodbuzz Ohio" is the first single from their fifth studio album, High Violet.
