Mystery Jets - Someone Purer

Mystery Jets are an English indie rock band, formerly based on Eel Pie Island in Twickenham, London. The band was formed by Henry Harrison (lyrics, piano), Blaine Harrison (vocals, guitar and keyboards) and William Rees (guitar, vocals) when the boys were still at school and would send each other songs on cassettes. The other member is Kapil Trivedi (drums).

Todays tune "Someone Purer" is taken from the fourth album "Radlands" released on 3 April 2012, shortly before the release of Radlands, Kai Fish announced he would be leaving the band, with bassist Pete Cochrane taking his place for the band's UK tour. The album was recorded in a home recording studio set up in a country house by the Colorado river in the Westlake area in Austin, Texas. The Video is directed by Jem Goulding.

The name 'Radlands' is an amalgamation of Keith Richards' 1960s apartment Redlands and the Terrence Malik film Badlands.

Mumford & Sons - Lover Of The Light

Yesterday visited the English folk rock band Mumford & Sons Stockholm for a concert at Annexet.

Mumford & Sons started in the business about five years ago. Mumford & Sons, with a folk rock outfit from West London, has been greater than anyone could ever dream of. And this is good, very good, the bottom line is that they eagerly played acoustic instruments that goes straight into the body and reverses everything so you shiver like that lovingly. It is precisely when the interaction between the band and the audience when it all happens and it usually becomes magical and that's when you fall head over heels and gets sold to the "Club of Mumford & Sons". You go from the show with a comfortable fever chill and a smile that is stuck and you already longing for the next time.

The band consists of Marcus Mumford (lead vocals, guitar, drums, mandolin), Ben Lovett (vocals, keyboards, accordion, drums), Winston Marshall (vocals, banjo, guitar, resonator guitar), and Ted Dwane (vocals, string bass, drums, guitar).

Opening acts for the evening was Half Moon Run and Mystery Jets and as special guest the Swedish First Aid Kit
