The Nomads - Miles Away

Before THE HELLACOPTERS and Scandinavia relaunched rock & roll, there was THE NOMADS. The long-running Swedish quartet justifies its longevity on its eighth LP "Solna" (2012). An album where we find todays tune, a song where one foot in Nuggets and the other in Detroit, THE NOMADS blast the cap with “Miles Away".

THE NOMADS was the Swedish band worshipping at the altar of garage rock when THE HIVES were merely a twinkle in Iggy Pop’s eye. "Solna", their eighteenth album in a 31-year career, sees them on as effervescent form as ever – if anything, more so now that garage rock clusterfuck of

THE NOMADS was founded in 1981 by Hans Östlund, Nick Vahlberg, Joakim Tärnström, and Ed Johnson. Today, Östlund and Vahlberg are the only members left of the original line-up.

Enjoy today's tune "Miles Away", taken from the album "Solna", happy friday!

Here is a live clip from Kägelbanan, Stockholm 2019.03.17.

THE NOMADS play live at the tribute concert "Vikken Ära Tompa Eken" at Kägelbanan in Stockholm 2019.03.17. The concert was arranged by Tony Johansson (Fas3, KSM3 etc.) and Johan Johansson (KSMB, John Lenin, Strindbergs, KSM3 etc.) when they learned that Tommy Ekengren, who was the soul of Ultrahuset and Kafé 44, received a miserably small pension. All artists performed for free, Södra Teatern lent Kägelbanan for free, the concert sold out in seconds and even the extra concert sold out at the moment.
