Thin Lizzy - Cold Sweat

Thunder and Lightning is the twelfth and final studio album by heavy-rock band Thin Lizzy, released in 1983. Thunder and Lightning offered a heavier sound and guitar tone than previous albums, influenced by the guitar playing of John Sykes. However, the actual songwriting (Except for "Cold Sweat") was completed before he joined the band. Keyboard player Darren Wharton offered a stronger musical influence to Thin Lizzy's final studio album, co-writing many of the tracks including "Some Day she is Going to Hit Back" which featured a jazz like chord sequence in the intro.

Todays tune "Cold Sweat". It was featured on their final studio album Thunder and Lightning and was co-written by new guitarist John Sykes, with Phil Lynott. The song became the biggest single from the album. The song is also known for Sykes’ fast and complicated guitar solo, which features a lot of tapping - a playing style that only Eddie Van Halen and Randy Rhoads, and a few others, had been using to that date.
