Willie King & The Liberators - Spoonful
Willie King (March 8, 1943 – March 8, 2009) was an award-winning blues guitarist and singer, known for shunning fame and playing at a local bar in Mississippi.
His career started on a plantation with a one-string, homemade diddly-bo. Six recordings and a DVD later, along with numerous national and international festival performances, Willie King has gained a substantial national and international reputation.
King died on Sunday, March 8, 2009, from a heart attack on his 66th birthday, near his home in the rural community of Old Memphis, Alabama, just a few miles from his birthplace.
Todays tune is from his last album "One Love" - 2006 @ Freedom Creek Music
