Dismember - Dreaming In Red

Sunday, time for a classic.

"Dreaming In Red" is a tune by the Swedish death metal DISMEMBER, taken from the second album "Indecent & Obscene" by Dismember. The album is accompanied by two music videos for the tracks "Skinfather" and "Dreaming in Red". It's also their best-selling album to this day.

Like many of the other Scandinavian death metal bands, DISMEMBER began softening their sound in the mid-1990s, with 1995's "Massive Killing Capacity" more melodic approaches, which had a good public response. Nevertheless, they attempted a return to style with 1997's "Death Metal", which ultimately became a sales disappointment. Their last album for Nuclear Blast was 2000's "Hate Campaign".

Anyway, enjoy today's tune "Dreaming In Red"

Underoath - On My Teeth

The Tampa rockers UNDERØATH are back with a their eighth album "Erase Me", released via via Fearless Records on April 6, 2018.

It is their first album in eight years following "Ø (Disambiguation)" (2010), marking the longest gap between two studio albums in the band's career, and their first one with founding drummer and clean vocalist Aaron Gillespie since Lost in the Sound of Separation (2008). It was recorded in mid-2017 with Matt Squire and mixed by Ken Andrews.

Upon announcing the album, the band updated their Spotify biography to read: "The band who once openly—and without apology—professed their faith-based worldview onstage nightly, have since moved beyond the realm of seemingly impenetrable polemics. At various junctures, "Erase Me" illustrates those moments of sanctuary, anxiety, betrayal and conflict that inevitably arise when humanity grapples with belief systems."

Drummer Gillespie said of the album, "We've had success and we've come through a lot of waters. There's been 11,000 things we've been through so you would think, almost rhetorically, 'What do you need now?' All of us are finally in that place in our lives where the only thing we care about is inclusion for everybody—for the world. For me, exclusion is the scariest thing in the world. And I think Underoath coming back now with a new record—which none of us thought was possible—we want people to know that this is your music and you can feel however the fuck you want about it. I just want to prove that we are doing everything in the most honest way we ever have. This is the healthiest we've ever been as a group of people, as musicians, and in our worldview."

Paganizer - Prey To Death

Swedish heavyweights PAGANIZER release an album that defies logic. Having been around for nearly two decades, their music has only gotten faster and heavier. "Land of Weeping Souls" is undeniably their fiercest and tightest yet. Fresh from the success of their recent EP on the same Indian label, this new album, their 10th full length, is a huge leap ahead. Each of the songs retains the classic Swedish riffing appeal and is enhanced by accelerated drumming, heaving hooks, and even a rabid thrash metal influence. In the words of Rogga Johansson himself, "the new album is the best PAGANIZER album, death fucking metal the way it is supposed to be done".

Rogga Johansson - Guitars, Vocals (ECHELON, DOWN AMONG THE DEAD MEN, JOHANSSON & SPECKMANN, etc.)
Kjetil Lynghaug - Lead Guitars (ECHELON, MORDENIAL)
Matte Fiebig - Drums (PORTAL, MORDENIAL)
Martin Klasen - Bass

Obituary - Brave

Florida-based death metal veterans OBITUARY released their eponymously titled tenth studio album on March 17, 2017, it's also the second Relapse release.

A video for the opening tune "Brave" have been made, see it below. The clip, which depicts the band enjoying a day of practice and backyard shenanigans at their home studio outside of Tampa, Florida, was directed by Shaun Egger.

After parting ways with Roadrunner following the release of 2005's "Frozen In Time", OBITUARY released two albums via Candlelight Records — 2007's "Xecutioner's Return" and 2009's "Darkest Day" — before signing with Relapse Records in 2014.

OBITUARY is an American death metal band formed in October 1984 in Tampa, Florida. Initially called EXECUTIONER, the band changed their name to XECUTIONER in 1986 to avoid confusion with the thrash metal band EXECUTIONER from Boston, and then changed their name once again to OBITUARY in 1988. The band's current lineup consists of vocalist John Tardy, lead guitarist Kenny Andrews, rhythm guitarist Trevor Peres, bassist Terry Butler, and drummer Donald Tardy. Obituary has gone through several lineup changes, with Peres and the Tardy brothers being the only constant members. The band was a fundamental act in the development of death metal music and is one of the most successful death metal bands of all time. To date, OBITUARY has released ten studio albums, and with the exception of their 1997–2003 split, they continue to perform live around the world.

Today's tune "Brave" taken from the self titled album, released 2017, enjoy!
