Mindless Self Indulgence - It Gets Worse

Mindless Self Indulgence (often identified using the abbreviation MSI) is an American musical group formed in New York in 1997. Their music has a mixed style including punk rock, alternative rock, electronica, techno, industrial, hip hop and breakcore. Their group name is derived from a solo EP that frontman Jimmy Urine wrote in 1995.

The group maintains a devout fanbase, and has opened for many well-known acts such as Linkin Park, System of a Down, Korn, Sum 41, Insane Clown Posse and Rammstein. Notable bands who have opened for them include The Red Paintings, The Dresden Dolls, Rasputina, mc chris, The Birthday Massacre, Tub Ring, Death Spells, and Dog Fashion Disco.

A few weeks ago they did a little quirky but incredibly action packed concert, hard electro punk stuff that really got the crowd to dance.

Todays tune "It Gets Worse” is taken from the fifth studio album "How I Learned to Stop Giving a Shit and Love Mindless Self Indulgence”. The album was funded through a Kickstarter campaign started on October 25, 2012, which reached its goal on December 24, 2012. The name of the record is a reference to the film Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb and a reflection of the band "being themselves and loving the work that they do"
