Bruce says: "We wanted to play a few outdoor shows in the Summer of 2010 and of course Sweden had to be one of them as we have always had such a fantastic relationship with our Swedish fans and always have a great time there. And as we have never played a festival in Sweden this was too great an opportunity to miss. We enjoy the camaraderie of playing great festivals and are very much looking forward to getting back out to do some shows next Summer and, as it will be over two years since we played in Sweden, we will certainly be looking to deliver a memorable and spectacular night for our fans!”

We will begin this Sonisphere week with Iggy And The Stooges.

The Stooges (also known as Iggy and The Stooges) is an American rock band.
First active from 1967 to 1974, and later reformed in 2003. The Stooges' "Search and Destroy" was featured in RedOctane's Guitar Hero II for the PlayStation 2.
There's a reason why many consider Iggy Pop the godfather of punk, every single punk band of the past and present has either knowingly or unknowingly borrowed a thing or two from Pop and his late-'60s/early-'70s band, the Stooges. Born on April 21, 1947, in Muskegon, MI, James Newell Osterberg was raised by his parents (his father was an English teacher) in a trailer park close to Ann Arbor, in nearby Ypsilanti. Intrigued by rock & roll (as well as such non-musical, monotonous, and mechanical sounds as his father's electric razor and the local automobile assembly plants in Detroit), Osterberg began playing drums and formed his first band, the Iguanas, in the early '60s. Via the Rolling Stones,

Ladys and Gents, IGGY!!!

Härliga bilder, och man måste ju förundras över att Iggy kan se så Börje-Salming-hård ut i kroppen.
Imponerande.

Sen går ju inte musiken av för hackor direkt... hehe.. :)
